Client Accountant

Overview

As Property Accountant at Cushman & Wakefield, you will manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of client properties in the EMEA region. You will prepare financial packages, support audits, and collaborate with clients and property teams to ensure sound financial practices. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and deliver accurate insights and compliance.

This role offers real estate accounting experience within a global, client-focused firm.

• Perform full-cycle accounting including analysis of accounts and transactions
• Prepare and assist with cash management, AP/AR, accruals, and reconciliations
• Manage high-volume workload across multiple client accounts
• Prepare financial reporting packages in a timely, compliant manner
• Research, analyze, and escalate complex accounting issues
• Collaborate with clients and property management teams to provide financial insights
• Apply established accounting procedures to records and reporting
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and communicate risks/recommendations
• Prepare and review fixed asset ledgers for capitalization/depreciation
• Calculate and record straight-line rent adjustments
• Support internal and external audits with documentation
• Provide guidance and coaching to Accountants and lead team meetings
• Participate in onboarding and special projects
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• 1–3 years of accounting experience or equivalent
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, or other real estate accounting platforms preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain client/stakeholder relationships
• Demonstrated independent judgment and professional discretion
