Director of Business Development – Hybrid | Denver - Tech SaaS
We're partnering with a fast-growing software company that's looking to hire its first Director of Business Development. Having built a market-leading platform and established a strong customer base, the business is now investing in a proactive commercial function to support its next phase of growth.
This is an opportunity to join a founder-led organisation where you'll work closely with senior leadership to identify new markets, develop strategic partnerships and build a scalable outbound sales motion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an outbound business development strategy.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across engineering-led industries.
- Build relationships with senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Generate and qualify new opportunities through proactive outreach and networking.
- Collaborate with founders, product and marketing teams to shape go-to-market strategy.
- Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events.
- Gather market feedback to help influence future product and commercial direction.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience generating new business within a B2B SaaS or software environment.
- Experience selling complex software into engineering or technology-focused organisations.
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts with engineering stakeholders.
- Background selling into industries such as aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, defence technology, industrial automation or similar.
- Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to uncover customer challenges and position value-led solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build relationships and create opportunities from scratch.
