Spanish Teacher, In Person, Full Time - Buenos Aires

We are looking for full-time Spanish teachers to teach international students in person at our school at Maipú 464, Ciudad de Buenos Aires . Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon slots according to the class timetable. Starting as soon as possible.

You do not need a teaching degree or ELE training. We want people who can teach the language: graduates and students of Letras, Traductorado, Communication, Education or any other field, with or without a degree. What you do need is the ability to explain your own language to someone who does not have it, patience, and a liking for people.

What you will do

• Individual and small-group classes for international students, from complete beginner to advanced.
• Explain Rioplatense Spanish without turning it into a caricature: voseo, che, the intonation, why people on the street do not speak like the textbook.
• Get people talking from day one , which is what they come for.
• Follow each student’s progress , coordinate with the rest of the teaching team and flag it when someone falls behind.

What we are looking for

• Native Spanish or C2 equivalent , and a wish to explain it.
• Studies in Letras, Traductorado, Communication, Education or any other field , finished or not. If you never studied anything related but you know how to teach, we want to read your application too.
• Full availability Monday to Friday for morning and afternoon classes at Maipú 464. This role is in person.
• Monotributo. You invoice monthly as a monotributista, Argentina’s simplified freelance tax regime, so you need a CUIT. If you are not registered yet, we explain how.
• Real patience. You will explain the same thing five different ways and the fifth will work.

Valued, not required: English or another language to support beginners; having lived abroad; any teaching experience at all.

How we work

• We give you the syllabus, the materials and the support of the academic coordination. You do not arrive to improvise.
• Groups are small and mixed level, with people joining and leaving every week.
• If you have never taught, you start by observing and assisting before taking a group on your own.

Hours and pay

• Full time, Monday to Friday , morning and afternoon slots according to the timetable, in person at Maipú 464.
• Pay is set according to your experience and availability , with concrete figures at the interview.
• Monotributista , invoicing monthly.
