Java Backend Developer

TechDoQuest is hiring a Java Developer to build and enhance APIs and integrations for Sleep Country Canada’s ecommerce and enterprise systems. You will work with architects, business analysts, and development teams to deliver reliable services that support customer and operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build integrations between ecommerce platforms and enterprise systems.
• Translate business requirements into API designs and technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot API defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and technical discussions with teams in Canada and India.

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Experience with microservices, JSON, SQL databases, and API authentication.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Ability to investigate integration issues across multiple systems and communicate findings clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying or supporting applications in GCP or Azure.
• Exposure to ecommerce, order management, inventory, or other enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with API gateways, messaging, or event-driven integrations.
