Cleaning Operative

Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Operative to work at a premium health club in the Dundonald area of Belfast.

This is a customer-facing environment where members will remain present while cleaning is taking place. We are therefore looking for reliable, professional cleaners who take pride in their work and are confident providing excellent customer service.

Hours of work:

Morning 5.30am-1.30pm

Evening / Afternoon 2.30pm-10.30pm

Applicants must have previous cleaning experience and be available to work the shift times stated above.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, including mopping floors, cleaning glass surfaces, changing rooms, showers, toilets and locker areas.
• Clean and replenish washroom facilities as required.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is disposed of correctly and safely.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Report maintenance issues, damage or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all club access, conduct, cleaning and health and safety procedures.
• Ensure cleaning equipment, machinery and consumables are used correctly.
• Work safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
• Maintain a professional and helpful approach when interacting with club members.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• Experience in commercial, office, public-sector, leisure, hospitality or similar environments is desirable.
• Must be comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment.
• Good working understanding of English, with the ability to assist members with basic questions or queries.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Must be legally entitled to work in the UK.
• Ability to always follow company and site procedures.

Training Provided

Full training will be provided during induction, including:

• Cleaning processes and procedures.
• Safe use of cleaning machinery and equipment.
• Correct use of cleaning products and consumables.
• Health and safety procedures.
• Site-specific access and conduct requirements.

Important Information

This role is ideal for an experienced cleaner who is reliable, professional and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Due to the nature of the site, candidates must be able to work the stated shift times, including early morning starts from 5:30am and evening shifts finishing at 10:30pm.

Previous cleaning experience is essential.
