About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Logistics Administration Manager to join our team at Gepps Cross, SA within the Metcash Food & ALM Logistics network. Reporting to the State Logistics Manager, this role is responsible for leading the Logistics Administration team while providing exceptional administrative support to our warehouse and transport operations.

This is a pivotal leadership position that supports Grocery, Perishables and ALM Logistics Operations across South Australia, while also providing administration support to the Darwin ALM business. You'll play a key role in driving team performance, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and creating a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment and is passionate about continuous improvement, people leadership, and operational excellence.

In this Role

• Lead and develop a team of Logistics Coordinators, providing coaching, support, and development opportunities.
• Ensure payroll requirements for approximately 300 site-based team members are processed accurately and on time.
• Manage site pallet and crate inventory, including stocktake activities.
• Oversee non-trade procurement, freight invoicing, and expense management processes.
• Manage customer claims investigations and ensure service levels are achieved while delivering excellent customer outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across logistics, operations, finance, HR, and customer service teams.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that drive efficiency and best practice across the administration function.
• Support operational leaders with administration and reporting requirements.
• Drive team engagement, change management initiatives, and a positive site culture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, HACCP, WHS, and legislative requirements.

You're Likely a Match If

• Proven experience leading and developing administration or operational support teams.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and administration systems.
• Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or FMCG environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated experience driving process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Sound understanding of budgeting, P&L management, and financial processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• A collaborative leadership style with a strong customer focus.
• Knowledge of HACCP, WHS, and compliance requirements within logistics operations.
