Job Description

Reporting to the FleetManager,the positionincludes the following responsibilities:

• Run to timeslots, delivering general freight in and around the Regional, Metropolitan areas and occasionally interstate
• Travelling to various customers sites and preparingtrucks to be unloaded / loaded
• Flexibility to respond to business needs at short notice

Work Health and Safety

• Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as peroperational requirements
• Performing vehicle pre-start checks
• Complete all paperwork requirements
• Perform general housekeeping of the Prime Movers / Trailers / SCT & customerpremises

Policies and Procedures

• Comply with all site requirements and such other mattersas may be directed by the Company

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Experience

• Current MC Driver’s license
• Singles & B-Double driving experience
• Impeccable safe driving record and commitment to creating a safe work environment

Knowledge

• Operation of a Prime Mover and trailer sets
• Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
• Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures

• Reliability, Honesty & Motivation
• Strong work ethic
• Strong safety and driving focus
• Hold a passion for providing a high-level of service with a positive attitude and work collaboratively within a team
