Accountant - SMSF

Your role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team and further develop their expertise in SMSF Accounting. To be successful in your application, you will have a Bachelor Degree in Commerce or Business, with an Accounting major, or near graduating. Most importantly, you will be keen to learn and interested in developing your technical skills in SMSF accounting.

In this position, you will work closely with and learn from, highly experienced professionals who will provide guidance and support, while giving you the opportunity to build your technical knowledge and achieve your professional goals.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of the SMSF function, including but not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and supporting compliance documentation
• Preparation of comprehensive workpapers and audit documentation
• Liaising with clients
• BAS preparation
• Quarterly TBAR compliance processing/reporting
• Liaising with auditors
• Work collaboratively with the team providing support and sharing knowledge
