About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accountant to join our Support Office Finance Team in Hallam on a 6-month maternity leave contract commencing in November 2026.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work collaboratively within a close-knit finance team supporting multiple entities across the Prime Pharmacy Group network.
This position offers comprehensive training and support, with hybrid working arrangements available following the successful completion of probation.
There is also the potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial six-month period.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting multiple entities across the group, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Day-to-day accounting and financial processing
Bank reconciliations
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions
Loading and processing payments
End-of-month processing and reporting support
Assisting with financial year-end activities
Preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS and PAYG obligations
Providing ongoing support to the Finance Team
Ad hoc finance and administration tasks as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
CPA qualification or be actively working towards CPA accreditation
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High-level organizational and time management abilities
The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure
A self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
A positive, collaborative approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
