BIM Technician

A Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years’ experience is required to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering projects across Ireland and internationally. The successful candidate will play a central role in producing coordinated BIM models and technical drawings across a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects. • Residential and apartment developments
• Commercial and mixed-use schemes
• International engineering collaborations
• Projects spanning from €5m to €100m+ in value

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects, ensuring full coordination across all relevant disciplines.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models to support design and construction delivery.
• Adhere to and promote internal BIM standards and workflows to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
• Support clash detection exercises and assist in resolving coordination issues between civil, structural and MEP models.

Requirements

• A qualification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience producing BIM models and technical drawings within a civil or structural engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD with a good working knowledge of BIM standards and project workflows.
• Understanding of model coordination, data management and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650.
