Position Details

• Position: ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
• Number of Vacancies: 1
• Job Type: Full-time, Term – 3 year
• Starting Date: As soon as possible
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Work Schedule: Day
• Language of Work: English or French
• Wage: $38.46
• Overtime: Paid in accordance with applicable provincial employment standards
• Vacation: 2 weeks
• Benefits: Transportation allowance, Travel Insurance if needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records and general ledgers.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare trial balances and financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare supplier, utility and tax payments.
• Assist with GST/HST and government remittances.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies.
• Prepare documents for audits.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.

Job Requirements

• Education: College/CEGEP
• Experience: 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience
• Language: English or French
