The Role

Finatal is partnering with one of the UK's most exciting PE backed high-growth hospitality brands in the search for a Senior Financial Accountant. Having experienced exceptional expansion in recent years, the business has built a strong presence across multiple locations and is now focused on strengthening its finance function to support the next stage of growth. Operating in a fast-paced, consumer-facing environment, the business offers the opportunity to join a talented leadership team and play a key role in professionalising finance operations.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes
• Preparation of statutory accounts and management of the external audit
• Maintaining robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity
• Producing accurate financial reporting for senior leadership and investors
• Managing technical accounting matters and compliance requirements
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes
• Driving process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
• Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business to enhance reporting and decision-making
• Supporting the continued scaling of systems, controls and reporting capabilities
• Assisting with tax, VAT and regulatory compliance obligations

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Technically strong with a solid grounding in financial accounting and reporting
• Experienced within hospitality, retail, leisure, consumer or multi-site businesses
• Comfortable operating in a fast-growth, entrepreneurial environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent stakeholder management skills
• Commercially minded and capable of translating financial information into actionable insights
• Keen to take ownership and contribute beyond the traditional remit of financial accounting
