Our community-focused Primary School has permanent full-time positions available from the start of 2027. Experienced teachers, as well as new graduates, are encouraged to apply. Casual work may also be available in 2026.

Salary range: $95,000-$130,000pa plus super (2026 salary rates; 2027 rates currently under review).

Blue Gum Community School is a unique small school in Canberra offering programs from birth up to 16 years, i.e. Playgroups through to Year 10. Our multi-age research groups enjoy a 1:13 teacher-to-student ratio.

Specialists in Music/Drama, Visual Arts, Sport, Outdoor Education & Italian also work with each class. Specialist spaces include a Music & Sound Recording Studio, as well as Science Laboratory, Black-and-White Photography Darkroom, and Visual Arts Studio.A state-of-the-art Maker Space is next to be built.
