Transformation Project Accountant

I'm working with a top tier global insurance company to recruit for a Project Accountant. The role will assist with a high-profile finance transformation project supporting the establishment of two new international entities. You will help design and implement new accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring both Group and local reporting requirements are delivered successfully. 6-9 month FTC with €500 day rate. 3 days in the office, Dublin City Centre

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of accounting and financial reporting processes for newly established legal entities.
• Prepare and deliver Group and local IFRS reporting requirements.
• Develop reporting templates, reconciliations, financial controls and supporting documentation.
• Produce technical accounting memos documenting financial impacts and accounting treatments.
• Assist with the preparation of IFRS financial statements and year-end disclosures.
• Prepare management reporting packs and finance committee materials.
• Participate in end-to-end testing of finance systems, processes and reporting outputs.
• Support the development of reporting frameworks for Bermuda regulatory reporting.
• Define and implement validation checks, reconciliations and internal financial controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external advisors and the wider project team to ensure operational readiness.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance and project initiatives as required.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 3+ years' post-qualified experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Solid understanding of IFRS; IFRS 17 experience is desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong overall IT proficiency.
• Insurance or reinsurance experience is advantageous.
