Knitwear Designer

Knitwear Designer – Womenswear / Menswear / Childrenswear

Location: Barcelona or A Coruña, Spain 

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time

We are looking for a creative, commercially minded established Knitwear Designer to develop customer-focused collections, with a particular emphasis on yarn expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop knitwear designs and collections tailored to customers’ brand identities, briefs and target prices.

- Select yarns, colours, stitches and knit structures, balancing design, quality and cost.

- Attend customer meetings to present concepts, yarn options and samples, and translate feedback into product development.

- Prepare design specifications and technical packs, working closely with factories throughout sampling and revisions.

Requirements

- Experience in knitwear design across womenswear, menswear or childrenswear.

- Strong knowledge of yarn compositions, counts, properties and suitability for different knitting techniques.

- Good understanding of knitwear construction and manufacturing processes.

- Confident communication and presentation skills, with experience working directly with customers.

- Professional working proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.

- Available to attend customer meetings in Barcelona or A Coruña as agreed.
