Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a team in Sydney on a temporary basis. This role involves utilising your expertise to manage accounting and finance tasks within the FMCG/Manufacturing industry.

partnering with a well-established Australian FMCG and manufacturing organisation with approximately $80M turnover, looking for a hands-on Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role will act as a key link between senior leadership and the wider finance function. It's an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys a broad role and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves across both financial and operational accounting activities.

Description

• Prepare and manage financial statements and reports with accuracy.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial record-keeping.

Profile

A successful Accountant should have:

• Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Preferably SAP B1!
• A solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
