Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing business are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified/part-qualified accountant with 3+ years’ financial accounting experience who is looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory accounts, controls and business partnering within a dynamic finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly management accounts.
• Managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analysing financial performance and investigating variances.
• Leading the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Supporting external audits and tax compliance.
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Identifying opportunities for process and control improvements.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight.

Requirements:

• Newly Qualified OR Part-Qualified Accountant.
• 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and month-end processes.
• Experienced SAP user.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and statutory reporting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
