Senior Commercial Manager

We're recruiting a Head of Commercial to lead the commercial function for a specialist water contractor operating multiple long-term frameworks across the UK water industry. The Role As Head of Commercial, you will take ownership of all commercial and contractual activity across a portfolio of water sector infrastructure projects, including: Leading commercial strategy, governance, and risk management across multiple frameworks

Overseeing contract management, NEC contracts, and commercial performance from tender through to completion

Supporting work-winning and bid activity in partnership with senior leadership

Building and leading a high-performing commercial team

Developing strong relationships with clients and the supply chain

Embedding commercial excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across the business About the Company Our client is a leading UK water and civil engineering contractor, delivering essential infrastructure that supports clean water, safe drainage, and reliable services for communities nationwide. Specialising in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA), the business manages projects from control panel manufacturing through to full system integration and commissioning at water and wastewater treatment sites. What We're Looking For Proven senior commercial leadership experience within infrastructure, utilities, or the water sector

Strong knowledge of commercial management, contract law, and NEC contracts

Experience managing frameworks within a regulated industry

A track record of delivering profitable outcomes while managing commercial risk

Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills

Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline Why Apply? Genuine career progression to Director level
