Residential Property Litigation Solicitor - Birmingham / Hybrid

Overview

In this role, you will handle a varied property litigation caseload within a niche Birmingham firm, focusing on leasehold disputes and enforcement matters. You will work closely with clients and the Pre-Litigation team to translate complex lease issues into practical strategies. The position offers exposure to high-stakes lease and enforcement work, with mentoring and training responsibilities in-house.

You will contribute to delivering informed, timely advice and support to clients while developing expertise in lease structures and related legislation.

• Manage a varied caseload across debt recovery, breach of lease, forfeiture and possession proceedings, lease extensions and variations, FTT applications, lease analysis, and enforcement of judgments
• Provide client advice on major works consultations, S20b notices, lease variations, lease structures, and notices of repairs
• Support the Pre-Litigation team with queries and contribute to staff training and mentoring of trainees

• Minimum of 3 years' PQE
• Working knowledge of leases and enforcement of judgments; Landlord & Tenant Act 1985/1987; Commonhold & Leasehold Reform Act 2002
• Pro-active, self-motivated, organised and able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Ideally knowledge of RTM Process and structure, Companies Act 2006 and key leasehold case law
