Role Description The Special Educator will work full time on-site in Bengaluru South, providing individualized and group instruction to learners with diverse learning needs and disabilities. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons (with an emphasis on middle school learners as needed), adapting curriculum and teaching strategies, and developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role involves observing and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with families and other professionals to support each learner’s development.
The Special Educator will also contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment, participate in team meetings and trainings, and support behavioral, social, and academic interventions as required.
Qualifications
. Diploma in special education.
.B.ed in special education
.RCI registration required
- Strong knowledge of disabilities and diverse learning needs, with the ability to implement appropriate accommodations and interventions.
- Teaching experience, preferably with middle school learners, including lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction.
- Formal training or experience in Special Education, including IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for working with learners, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and regular feedback.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field; relevant certifications in special education are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South, demonstrate patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices, basic counseling skills, and experience in healthcare or school-based settings will be beneficial.
