YVR Manager Operational Safety Leadership

Lead impactful safety initiatives as YVR's Manager of Operational Safety. This full-time role emphasizes collaboration and risk management to create safer airport operations.

In this critical position, you will guide the airport's Operational Safety Program and report to the Director of Operational Excellence and Improvement. Your efforts will focus on risk identification, assessment, and the promotion of a safety culture with airlines, regulators, and operational teams. You'll ensure that operational performance continuously improves while maintaining safety and resilience.

Key Responsibilities: • Guide the airport's safety program and initiatives • Lead collaboration among multiple stakeholders for safety • Manage risk assessment and proactive mitigation strategies • Drive safety improvements through data and best practices • Ensure thorough safety investigations and learnings

Requirements: • 8+ years in leadership roles in aviation safety • 3 years of experience leading high-performing teams • Skills in operational risk management and SMS • Experience in safety compliance and investigations • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
