Senior Commercial Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead cost management on rail projects, including HS2, ensuring delivery meets cost, time and quality targets. You will manage client relationships and coach project teams to enhance service delivery in the rail sector. You’ll develop budgets, monitor finances, and provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.

• Lead cost management assignments to meet client expectations and standards
• Create project costings and budgets for rail projects, managing finances to meet budget targets
• Coach and supervise team members to improve cost management delivery
• Understand client objectives in rail cost management and align project delivery accordingly
• Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with cost control policies
• Assure compliance with contracts related to project delivery parameters and cost management
• Analyze complex cost data and provide actionable recommendations for decisions
• Support development of current cost and commercial management systems for rail projects
• Drive innovation in cost management to enhance services and team impact
• Build and maintain senior client and stakeholder relationships for satisfaction and opportunities

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status
• CSCS card holder
• Extensive experience in cost and commercial management within rail, including HS2
• Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate others in cost management roles
