Your new role
We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician (electrical) to join our team. Although predominantly based at Sydenham the Maintenance Team do on rare occasions carry out work on our sites which include over 20 shops around the SE London area.
You will be responsible for carrying out general day to day maintenance tasks along with undertaking first level fault finding and repairs on a range of equipment and services within the Hospice. This will include building and property assets and some equipment and medical services. A good working knowledge of plumbing and other trades would be desirable as all engineers cover for each other.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Maintenance team, demonstrate attention to detail, be able to work individually as well as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and be highly motivated.
It is essential for the post holders to be flexible to meet the demands of the department and to cover additional hours, annual leave and sickness. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the call rota to provide cover for evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Previous Maintenance experience is essential, experience of working within an industrial / commercial environment would also be desirable i.e.
Hospital / Nursing home, however, full training will be given to the right candidate.
