This position is part of the Supply Chain Solutions & Infrastructure (SCS&I) organization. SCS&I is responsible for the creation, updates, and support of the applications that Ferguson associates in the Supply Chain organization use to perform their day-to-day tasks which include order management, order fulfillment, inventory management, warehouse management, and supporting human labor with automation using conveyors and/or robotic systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Software Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software applications through meticulous testing and collaboration with multi-functional teams.
• Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources.
• Works with a wide range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own and other teams. And works within broad guidelines and policies.
• Reviews Requirements, User Stories and Tech Designs to expertly provide estimates, and prepare/execute test cases to identify high risk areas specific to a project.
• Create and maintain test cases and plays a meaningful role in identifying bugs/defects, usability issues, and other potential problems before our products are deployed to customers.
• Defines, creates, and manipulates test data.
• Logs defects and collaborates with development team in resolving bugs.
• Applies various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC.
• Contributes towards Test Automation Strategy by identifying critical / regression test cases to be automated.
• Collaborate closely with onshore and offshore team members to communicate timelines, progress and deliverables.
• Works as part of an Agile development team embracing the Agile Scrum process.
• Demonstrate strong manual and functional testing experience across diverse applications and environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Understanding of supply chain management processes, including procurement, inventory management, vendor management or order fulfillment is a plus.
• Experience with Automation is preferred; Playwright knowledge is a plus.
• Bachelors or masters degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, defect management, and release processes.
• Minimum of 3-7 years software testing experience, preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Project & Quality Management tools such as Atlassian/Confluence, JIRA, Zephyr. qTest or related.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
• Basic understanding of SQL.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting.
