Immediate Accountant Required

Hays Accountancy & Finance is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an experienced Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who can hit the ground running and provide immediate support across a range of accounting and financial reporting activities.

Your new role

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• VAT returns and statutory reporting.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes.
• Ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Producing financial reports and analysis for senior stakeholders.
• Providing ad hoc support to the wider finance team as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
