Part Qualified Accountant (Insurance)

Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with a leading international insurance and reinsurance organisation who are seeking a part-qualified accountant to join its Dublin Finance team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

This role will support financial reporting, audit activity, bank reconciliations, payment controls and liquidity planning within a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly group reporting and IAS 34 accounts.
• Support interim and year-end external audit processes.
• Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, payment controls and control-account reconciliations.
• Administer payment systems and support liquidity planning.
• Review junior team members’ deliverables and contribute to process improvements.
• Support wider Finance projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA), actively progressing toward a professional qualification.
• At least two years’ relevant accounting experience, ideally in financial services, insurance, reinsurance or practice.
• Strong experience in reconciliations, financial controls and general accounting.
• Comfortable working to strict daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with general ledger/financial systems.
• Experience of multi-currency accounting and foreign-exchange considerations is advantageous.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and an effective communicator.
