CRO Manager

Overview

As Senior Optimisation Manager, you will lead a CRO & UX team to design and deliver end-to-end optimisation strategies for a portfolio of clients. You’ll partner with cross-functional specialists to drive measurable improvements in website experiences and acquisition journeys. The role combines people leadership, client stewardship, and strategic prioritisation to maximise client value.

You will shape the department’s approach with an evidence-based mindset and collaborate across agency teams to scale CRO impact.

• Lead CRO & UX Specialists (Strategists, Designers, Data Analysts, Researchers, Developers) and manage resources and priorities.
• Oversee a portfolio of client accounts and guide teams to deliver client value
• Review client strategies to ensure alignment with long-term objectives (A/B testing, redesigns, acquisition journey, site speed)
• Own accountability for client satisfaction and retention, identifying threats and opportunities
• Lead regular client reviews (annual, quarterly, monthly) with senior stakeholders
• Promote evidence-based optimisation using quantitative and qualitative methods
• Plan resources with Strategists to set deadlines and priorities
• Foster collaboration with wider agency teams (PPC, SEO, Social, Analytics, etc.)
• Identify revenue growth, cross-sell opportunities, or new client engagements with the sales team
• Organise and deliver training for team members
• Analyse and evolve CRO proposition to stay at market forefront

• Direct management experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of CRO and UX (A/B testing, personalization, UX projects)
• Excellent communication for leading difficult client calls/meetings and driving actionable outcomes
• Ability to mentor and coach the team in CRO and continuous development
