Truck Driver – Civil Construction

Join HEH Civil and support civil construction projects across Cairns and Far North Queensland. This role is based in Cairns, however applicants may be required to travel to project areas including Cardwell, the Tablelands and Cape Tribulation as needed.

About The Role

HEH Civil is seeking a casual Truck Driver to join our construction team in Cairns. You will support day-to-day site operations by transporting materials, equipment and supplies safely and efficiently across local project sites, with travel to wider project areas when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks safely between project sites, suppliers and designated work areas.
• Transport materials, spoil, water, equipment and other site requirements as directed.
• Complete pre-start checks and report any faults, hazards or maintenance issues.
• Work safely around plant, crews, traffic and pedestrians on active civil construction sites.
• Assist with general site duties when required.
• Follow supervisor instructions, site procedures and all safety requirements.

About You

• Current HR, HC or MC truck licence.
• Construction Induction Card, White Card.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Experience driving trucks in civil construction, earthworks, roadworks or similar will be highly regarded.
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic.
• Willing to complete a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Available for casual work based in Cairns, with travel to project areas including Cardwell, the Tablelands and Cape Tribulation when required.
