Senior Estimator

Are you an experienced Estimator with a strong background in structural steel, engineering or specialist construction?

We're looking for a Senior Estimator to join an established structural steel business in Westmeath and play a key role in winning major projects across Ireland and the UK.

You'll take the lead on preparing competitive, accurate and commercially sound tenders, working closely with estimating, engineering, commercial, production and project teams.

You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle:

• Prepare and review structural steel estimates and tenders
• Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Assist with project handovers
• Contribute to tender strategy and value engineering
• Manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously

We're looking for a Senior Estimator with 5+ years' relevant experience.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong tendering and estimating experience
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction costs and procurement
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or similar

Structural steel fabrication or specialist engineering experience is highly desirable.

This is a senior opportunity where you'll have genuine influence over pricing, tender strategy and project acquisition.

You'll work alongside experienced commercial, engineering, production and project teams, with the opportunity to contribute to major and technically challenging projects across Ireland and the UK.
