Cement Australia is on the lookout for a proactive, customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join our Pinkenba team.
This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where you’ll sit right at the heart of operations, working closely with customers, coordinating deliveries, and partnering with logistics teams to keep everything running seamlessly. It’s a great opportunity to build hands‑on experience across both customer service and operational coordination, while making a real impact day‑to‑day.
Roster:
We currently have two rosters available for
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Based in our Pinkenba office, you'll join a collaborative team responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting the efficient movement of products across our national network.
In this role you'll:
- Be the first point of contact for customers via phone and email.
- Process high volumes of customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor deliveries and proactively communicate transport updates and delays.
- Investigate and resolve customer enquiries with professionalism and urgency.
- Liaise with transport providers, production teams and internal stakeholders to ensure orders remain on track.
- Balance daily priorities in a busy operational environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Contribute ideas that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
You're someone who enjoys being proactive, remains calm under pressure and takes ownership of finding solutions.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in a fast-paced customer service, customer operations, order management or logistics coordination role.
- Confidence managing high volumes of customer enquiries and order processing while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks throughout the day.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and resilience during busy periods.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ideally SAP or another ERP system.
- Experience within logistics, transport, manufacturing, industrial or supply chain environments will be highly regarded.
