Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

Lead complete plant operations for Wiring Harness manufacturing.

Drive production planning and execution to achieve customer delivery schedules.

Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and manufacturing resources.

Improve plant productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.

Develop and execute strategies for plant expansion and capacity enhancement.

Production & Manufacturing

Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

Optimize assembly line balancing and manufacturing flow.

Drive productivity improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Reduce manufacturing cycle time, downtime, scrap, and rework.

Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Quality Management

Ensure adherence to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Drive Zero Defect Manufacturing and Right First Time initiatives.

Lead customer audits and quality improvement programs.

Monitor PPM, customer complaints, warranty issues, and corrective actions.

Ensure APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC implementation.

Engineering & Process Excellence

Lead process engineering and manufacturing engineering teams.

Drive automation and semi-automation projects.

Support New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Improve manufacturing processes through Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and 5S.

Supply Chain & PPC

Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, PPC, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted production.

Maintain optimum inventory levels and improve inventory turnover.

Ensure material availability and timely dispatch to customers.

Maintenance & Utilities

Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of production equipment.

Improve machine availability and reduce breakdowns.

Maintain plant utilities and infrastructure.

Cost & Financial Management

Prepare and manage annual plant budgets.

Drive cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Improve conversion cost, labour productivity, and resource utilization.

Monitor plant profitability and operational KPIs.

People Management

Lead cross-functional teams across Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, PPC, Stores, HR, and EHS.

Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

Drive employee engagement, training, leadership development, and succession planning.

Maintain healthy industrial and employee relations.

Compliance & EHS

Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Labour Laws, statutory regulations, and customer requirements.

Drive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.

Promote a Zero Accident safety culture.

Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

MBA/PGDM in Operations or Supply Chain preferred.

Experience

18 25 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.

Minimum 8 10 years in a Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head role.

Mandatory experience in Automotive Wiring Harness manufacturing.

Experience handling OEM customers such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, TVS, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Stellantis, or Toyota is highly preferred.
