Google Workspace Deployment Engineer

Overview

In this role you will plan, implement, and manage Google Workspace deployments for clients, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal use of cloud productivity tools. You will lead deployment projects, assess client IT environments, and tailor strategies for data migration and configuration. You will support change management, documentation, and user training while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will stay current with Google Workspace updates and optimize security, compliance, and performance. This is a client-facing, impact-driven role shaping how organizations collaborate in the cloud.

• Lead planning and execution of Google Workspace deployments for diverse organizations
• Assess client IT environments and design customized deployment strategies
• Manage data migration from legacy systems to Google Workspace
• Configure Google Workspace apps and services per client needs
• Develop and implement change management for user adoption
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Google Workspace issues
• Create documentation, training materials, and conduct user training sessions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Stay updated on Google Workspace features and best practices
• Optimize security, compliance, and performance of Google Workspace environments

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of Google Workspace deployment or similar cloud-based suites
• Google Workspace Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace administration (users, security, configuration)
• Experience with large-scale IT projects and cloud environments
• Proficiency in data migration techniques and tools
• Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking
• Experience with change management and user adoption strategies
• Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Google Apps Script
• Strong IT security and compliance knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus
