Why this role?

As an Accountant at SIP, you'll be supported to continue developing your technical skills while taking ownership of allocated client work. You'll work closely with managers, mentors and the broader Business Services team, with exposure to a range of entities, compliance matters and client interactions.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, activity statements and other compliance work for a range of clients and entity types.
• Manage allocated tasks and priorities to meet agreed deadlines.
• Identify information gaps, technical issues or risks and elevate matters where needed.
• Support client engagements through accurate work, professional communication and timely follow-up.
• Contribute to team outcomes through collaboration, knowledge sharing and participation in firm initiatives.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is building their public practice accounting career and can produce accurate work, manage priorities and communicate clearly. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Public practice accounting experience, with exposure to accounting, taxation and compliance services.
• A relevant accounting, commerce or business qualification.
• CA or CPA commenced, or working towards completion.
• Working knowledge of accounting and taxation principles.
• Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and produce accurate work.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting, tax and business systems.
• Current Australian working rights.
