Quinn Downes Group are a leading National provider of Mechanical Service Installations to high-profile clients across Ireland. We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores Manager to join our expanding team.
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and organised stores, ensuring that inventory is properly stored and accounted for, managing the plant & tools register and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to meet storage and distribution needs.
\nBelow is an outline of the main responsibilities and candidate requirements.
\nOverseeing the receipt, safe storage and distribution of goods, always ensuring accuracy.
\nMonitoring inventory levels and performing regular stock checks to maintain accurate records.
\nIdentifying materials that have a low turnover and put plans in place to reduce or eliminate the stockholding with consideration taken to any specialised equipment that may have a long lead times.
\nImplementing and enforcing tight inventory management procedures, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
\nMaintain cleanliness of the Stores.
\nIdentifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance cost effectiveness.
\nManaging the Quarantine area, ensuring all materials are accounted for and any inaccuracies, (wrong parts etc.) are sent back to the supplier.
\nRegular monthly site visits to ensure that all sites are complying with the requirements for only holding stock on site, for the stage that the project finds itself.
\nManaging the Tools and Equipment Asset Registers.
\nEnsuring that all calibrated equipment is calibrated on an annual basis and an up-to-date record of the calibration certificates is always kept.
\nEnsuring that the process for requesting equipment for sites is always followed, and that all equipment is signed in and signed out and the locations recorded.
\nArrange for emergency delivery of items, when required.
\nDesired Criteria
\nPrevious experience managing a Stores.
\nKnowledge of the mechanical industry / fittings & plant used would be advantageous.
\nFull, clean drivers licence.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
\nExcellent attention to detail & highly organised.
