\n Senior Test Engineer (SQL Database) | Contract Role Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite)
\n 6-Month Initial Contract | Rolling Extensions

Stelfox is partnering with a leading Dublin-based organisation seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer (SQL Database) to join a large-scale technology programme on a long-term contract basis.

\n

Please Note: This is not a pure Automation Test Engineer role. We are specifically looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in:

\n

\n
• SQL query writing and analysis
\n
• Database testing and data validation
\n
• ETL, data migration, and data quality testing
\n
• Understanding of data flows and data integrity processes
\n

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Lead test planning, test design, execution, and defect management activities
\n
• Perform end-to-end ETL, data migration, data conversion, and data quality testing
\n
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
\n
• Validate large data sets using complex SQL queries and database testing techniques
\n
• Collaborate with development, production support, change management, and business teams
\n
• Drive QA delivery across multiple releases and project workstreams
\n
• Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and traceability documentation
\n
• Work across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
\n
• Support continuous improvements in quality assurance practices and testing processes
\n
• Contribute to automation and AI-enabled testing initiatives where appropriate
\n

Required Experience\n

\n
• 5+ years of hands-on Software Testing and Quality Assurance experience
\n
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and data validation
\n
• Proven experience in database testing and data quality verification
\n
• Extensive experience with ETL Testing, Data Migration Testing, and Data Conversion Testing
\n
• Experience managing end-to-end testing cycles and defect reporting
\n
• Strong understanding of test methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices
\n
• Experience working within Agile software delivery teams
\n
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\n

Nice to Have\n

\n
• Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright, Tosca, or similar
\n
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and technologies, including GitHub Copilot
\n
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data transformation programmes
\n
