Job Description

A rapidly growing international renewable energy developer and investor is seeking an Energy Markets Analyst to join its Australian team.

You will work cross-functionally to provide data-driven insights, enhance asset performance, and support market strategy in an increasingly complex and volatile energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse NEM market dynamics, including pricing, demand, generation and regulatory developments
  • Monitor real-time market conditions and key drivers impacting price formation
  • Support forecasting and modelling of prices, demand and renewable generation
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools used for revenue forecasting and market assessment
  • Provide market intelligence to optimise performance of wind and battery storage assets
  • Identify risks and opportunities across short- and long-term market conditions
  • Support investment decision-making through commercial and market analysis
  • Produce clear, actionable insights and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to improving internal analytics, modelling frameworks and processes

Experience

  • 2–4 years’ experience in the Australian electricity market
  • Strong understanding of NEM fundamentals, including dispatch, pricing and volatility drivers
  • Experience with energy market modelling, forecasting or analytics
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL or similar analytical tools

  • Clear communicator, able to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
