Client: Compliance Management Solutions company focused on Labour Law compliance in India

Location: Bengaluru

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

·             Lead and manage the Labour Law Compliance by driving operational excellence, client advisory, legal representation, team leadership, compliance audits, and business support initiatives.

·             The role requires strong expertise in labour laws, client management, government liaisoning, and people leadership.

·             Functional Area Responsibilities include Team Leadership & Operations Lead, mentoring, and guiding the labour law compliance team; ensure smooth execution of compliance activities and operational efficiency.

·             Client Advisory & Relationship Management: Interact with clients independently, address labour law and legal queries, provide practical compliance solutions, and maintain strong client relationships.

·             Government & Legal Representation: Represent clients before Labour Departments and other statutory authorities for inspections, notices, hearings, closures, and compliance-related matters.

·             Compliance Audits: Conduct and oversee labour law compliance audits, risk assessments, and corrective action planning for clients across industries.

·             Inter-Department Coordination: Coordinate effectively with senior managers, operational teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and communication. Inspection & Notice Handling.

·             Manage labour department inspections, statutory notices, documentation, representations, and closure proceedings.

·             Business Support & Strategy: Support management with new business ideas, process improvements, compliance solutions, and client retention initiatives.

·             Conflict & Team Management: Handle operational escalations, resolve internal conflicts, and maintain team discipline and productivity.

·             Client Meetings & Travel: Attend client meetings, conduct presentations, and travel as required for client servicing and representations.

 

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:

 

• 10+ Years of handling Labour Law Compliances in India Qualification Law Graduate (Mandatory) / LL.M./M.L. is preferable
  
• Industry Preference: Labour Law Compliance Consulting / Legal Advisory / HR Compliance / Corporate Compliance.
  

 

• 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  
• Prior experience in selling labour law compliance, HR-tech, payroll, legal/regulatory, or SaaS products
  
• Background at or familiarity with: Teamlease, Regtech, Simpliance, Legalwiz, Greytip, Keka, Darwinbox, Cleartax Compliance, etc.
  
• Strong consultative selling skills — ability to understand client pain points and position solutions effectively
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Kannada or Hindi is a plus
  
• Hands-on with productivity and sales tools — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Zoho CRM, Google Sheets, Notion, or similar Good to Have
  
• Understanding of core labour laws: Shops & Establishment Act, Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act, Factories Act, Maternity Benefit Act
  
• Experience managing a portfolio of 20+ active accounts simultaneously
  
• Established network of HR, Legal, Compliance, or Finance decision-makers in SME or enterprise segments
  
• Prior experience with SaaS deal structures — subscriptions, tiered pricing, pilot-to-paid conversions Target Candidate Profiles
