Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance Team here at Cluep. You will play acrucial role in the financial operations of the organization by assisting in maintaining accurate andup-to-date financial records.

This position reports to the Finance Manager and involves collaborating with the finance team toensure the timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, managing accounts receivableand accounts payable, and supporting various accounting activities. The Junior Accountant'sprimary responsibilities include journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in the preparation offinancial reports, and contributing to the overall accuracy and integrity of the organization'sfinancial information.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, bank transactions, account reconciliations, HST,and expense reports
  • Send monthly invoices, manage the billing contact list and new client set-up forms
  • Respond to client inquiries for invoices, statements and general information
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Daily bank deposit preparation and processing of customer payments
  • Processing vendor payments and completing vendor set-up forms
  • Preparing and summarizing expense reports
  • Fulfill requests from the CFO, Manager and Senior Accountant
  • Internal Audit of Department Processes

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • University Degree in business, with a specialty in accounting
  • 1-2 years of work experience
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
  • Excellent Knowledge of accounting standards and bookkeeping
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Should have excellent organizational skills and written communication skills
  • The person should be enthusiastic about the challenges of the job
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in an environment requiring discretion and confidentiality
  • Self-starter who is able to anticipate needs and work independently
  • Resourceful with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with tight multi-deadlines and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset
  • Bookkeeping experience is an asset
