Role:
As a Product Specialist, you will own product direction for assigned areas, translating customer, market, regulatory, stakeholder, and business needs into product vision, roadmap priorities, and actionable backlogs. You will lead discovery across key user workflows and balance customer value, business outcomes, technical feasibility, compliance, and product viability. You will also identify responsible opportunities for generative AI and emerging technologies.
This individual contributor will apply strong knowledge of users, product data, business constraints, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. Success requires influencing teams, stakeholders, and executives through data, logic, and clear communication.
About You:
You are a curious, evidence-led product professional who identifies the right problems through user insight and strong product judgment. You use current AI tools, collaborate credibly with engineering and design, learn quickly, and take accountability for measurable outcomes—not simply feature delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy and outcomes: Define the value proposition, outcome-based goals, success measures, and priorities; balance strategic opportunities with near-term and operational needs.
• Discovery and customer insight: Conduct interviews, usability sessions, and workflow observation; combine generative and evaluative discovery to identify actionable opportunities.
• Delivery and quality: Partner with engineering and design from problem framing through release; create clear product visions, PRDs, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria; own overall product quality.
• AI and technology: Apply generative AI and prompt-engineering tools in daily product work; identify high-value AI opportunities and evaluate them pragmatically with engineering and senior product managers; monitor relevant technology shifts.
• Stakeholders and influence: Build effective relationships across engineering, design, data, and business teams; communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs early; present a clear product narrative.
Necessary Qualifications:
• Proven experience leading technically complex product initiatives from strategy through release, with measurable customer, operational, and business outcomes.
• Strong user discovery, interview, usability-testing, and problem-validation capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows or emerging technologies, including governance, human review, quality controls, security, and responsible design.
• Experience working iteratively with engineering and design using an outcome-driven approach.
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and ability to align teams, overcome obstacles, and manage ambiguity, trade-offs, and risks.
• Strong analytical skills, including metric definition, measurement planning, and evidence-based prioritization.
• Ability to convert complex customer and business needs into well-documented requirements and practical solutions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including simplifying technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Track record of delivering features aligned with requirements and requiring minimal post-release correction.
