Job Description

We are looking for a Senior MEP Designer/Engineer to support a U.S.-based architecture and engineering team focused primarily on restaurant, retail, and commercial projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, manage multiple fast-moving projects, and deliver accurate MEP construction documents within established deadlines and budgeted hours. The ideal candidate is electrical-heavy while also understanding broader MEP coordination.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify MEP construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Perform hands-on electrical building design, including power, lighting, panels, circuits, load calculations, and related systems.
  • Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and assigned design hours.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Support permitting, RFIs, submittals, revisions, and construction-phase questions.
  • Communicate clearly with project teams and proactively identify missing information or coordination issues.
  • Support and review junior team members when needed.


Requirements
  • 6–9+ years of MEP/building-systems design experience.
  • Strong hands-on electrical design experience for buildings.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience producing construction documents and coordinating multidisciplinary MEP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and QA/QC processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong English communication skills and reliable availability during U.S. working hours.


Preferred
  • Experience with restaurant, retail, QSR, tenant improvement, fit-out, or commercial projects.
  • Experience with prototype or repeat-client programs.
  • U.S. building-design experience.
  • Experience with permitting and AHJ coordination.
  • Experience mentoring junior designers.
