About the Company

Our client is an established oil and gas operator with producing assets in Queensland. They have a strong focus on safe, reliable operations and are seeking an experienced Production Operator to join their operations team.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster at a Queensland-based oil and gas asset. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production facilities, monitoring plant performance and supporting day-to-day production activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production plant and associated equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and operational checks.
• Monitor plant conditions and respond to operational issues.
• Perform start-up, shutdown and isolation activities.
• Identify and report equipment faults and abnormalities.
• Maintain accurate production and operational records.
• Support maintenance activities and equipment troubleshooting.
• Follow operating procedures, permit systems and site safety requirements.
• Participate in emergency response and site safety activities.
• Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to maintain reliable production.

Skills & Experience

• Previous Production Operator experience within oil & gas, energy or a similar process environment.
• Experience operating process plant and associated equipment.
• Understanding of start-up, shutdown and isolation procedures.
• Strong knowledge of safe operating practices and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant trade qualification or industry certification highly regarded.
• Current driver's licence and Australian work rights.
