Established, dynamic and growing small family business. Based in Hornsby in the northern suburbs of Sydney, leading in innovative design, development, testing and production of safety products for the Electricity Supply Industry. We primarily service the Australian market, but have an increasing focus Internationally resulting in an exciting chapter for the company and team members that help make it all happen.

About The Role:

The role is multifaceted providing plenty of variety and challenges for someone eager to learn the ropes. The work environment is clean and well appointed and will best suit somebody who is enthusiastic and willing to learn. There will be comprehensive support and on the job training to allow the right candidate to grow into the role.

Covering a range of activities from typical stores pick and pack, through to assembly and process work of our unique range of safety products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Primarily process and assembly work(using basic tools) for our core range of unique safety products.
  • Some pick and pack.
  • Load/unload trucks.
  • Maintaining the warehouse and working area in clean and tidy order.
  • General warehouse duties as directed.

Core Skills Required:

  • Previous experience not critical, rather a fresh approach, can do attitude and the flexibility to mould into the role
  • Able to accurately pick and pack items.
  • Be physically fit, manual handling and occasional heavy lifting involved.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and process urgent orders.
  • Reliable & punctual.
  • Polite and well presented.
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and good time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow into role a must.

Being a small but well established and growing company, you will become an important element of the team. Many of our current staff have been with the company for years which fosters a level of stability which works for both the business and employees. Industry experience is a nice to have, but not essential.

More important is the level of commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We are looking for the right fit as described above who will become an integral and long term part of the team. We will provide ongoing training in an supportive environment to help achieve this.

Specifics:

Casual role with flexible hours, usually 16-24 hours per week.

Competitive remuneration for a junior/assistant.
