Job Title: Data Engineer Databricks, SQL, Python & ETL
Location: Toronto, ON M5V 1Y6, Canada Work Model: Hybrid 2 days onsite/week Duration: Full-Time Permanent Salary: $Market/CAD per annum + Benefits
Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and valid Work Permit holders
Job Overview: Data Engineer with 7+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data integration, migration, and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, SQL, Python/PySpark, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, data pipelines, and data modeling.
Required Skills 7+ years of professional Data Engineering experience. Strong Databricks experience. Advanced SQL and large-volume data processing. Strong Python / PySpark programming. Extensive ETL/ELT & Data Pipeline development. Apache Spark & Delta Lake. Data modeling, data warehousing, and database concepts. Data migration and integration experience. Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Databricks Workflows, Jobs, Unity Catalog, and performance optimization. Azure Data Factory, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools are preferred. Git, CI/CD, and DevOps experience is an asset. Strong communication and consulting skills.
Preferred: Enterprise-scale data engineering projects. Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Consulting experience. Legacy-to-cloud data migration experience. Agile/Scrum experience.
