Position Overview

We are looking for a senior Delivery Lead with strong expertise in Hydrocarbon Accounting and downstream refinery operations. The role will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, client engagement, operational excellence, transformation initiatives, and leadership of large global delivery teams supporting Hydrocarbon Accounting operations.

The individual should have deep domain knowledge across Hydrocarbon Accounting, Mass Balance, Production Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Movement Accounting, Yield Accounting, and refinery operations, along with strong experience in ERP-enabled transformation and global stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of Hydrocarbon Accounting operations across refinery and downstream businesses.
• Drive Hydrocarbon Mass Balance, Production Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Movement Accounting, Yield Accounting, and Loss Accounting.
• Ensure accurate accounting of crude receipts, refinery production, product movements, tank inventories, yields, product gains/losses, and hydrocarbon reconciliation.
• Lead reconciliation of operational and financial data and initiatives to reduce unaccounted hydrocarbon losses.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, governance standards, financial controls, compliance requirements, and month-end close activities.
• Act as a senior SME and strategic advisor to refinery leadership, CFOs, Controllers, Operations, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
• Manage executive-level client relationships and participate in governance forums and business reviews across North America and Europe.
• Lead ERP-enabled Hydrocarbon Accounting transformation initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process optimization.
• Drive the use of analytics, automation, and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and process controls.
• Ensure strong financial governance around reconciliations, adjustments, inventory variances, mass balance differences, and operational losses.
• Lead internal and external audit support and ensure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop large multi-location global delivery teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, automation, productivity enhancement, quality improvement, and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Downstream, Refinery, Hydrocarbon Accounting, or a related domain.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Hydrocarbon Accounting and refinery accounting processes.
• Excellent understanding of Hydrocarbon Mass Balance and Loss Accounting.
• Strong experience in Production, Inventory, Movement, and Yield Accounting.
• Good understanding of refinery operations and downstream business processes.
• Experience with ERP-enabled process transformation, implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
• Strong financial controls, reconciliation, variance management, and governance experience.
• Proven experience managing large global or multi-location delivery teams.
• Strong client-facing and CXO-level stakeholder management experience.
• Experience working with stakeholders across North America and Europe.
• Strong transformation, automation, analytics, and continuous improvement orientation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in large-scale Oil & Gas, Refinery, Shared Services, Global Business Services, Business Process Services, consulting, or transformation environments will be preferred.
