Job DescriptionAccountant Limerick up to โฌ65,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recently Qualified Accountant to join a growing financial services organisation and play a key role in the continued development and transformation of its finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support the Ireland finance team with the insourcing and integration of accounting activities following a new acquisition, while taking ownership of core management accounting, reporting, controls and compliance processes. Responsibilities Prepare and reconcile monthly management accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet.
Manage the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely management and Group reporting. Provide insightful variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key trends and business performance. Partner with the Managing Director and wider business to provide financial analysis, commentary and decision support.
Manage provisions, bad debt, accrued income and bank reconciliations, ensuring robust controls and accurate reporting. Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Lead and support statutory audit activities, including preparation of audit schedules and adjustment journals.
Assist with regulatory and tax reporting, including CBI returns, VAT and Corporation Tax. Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and reporting. Support the Financial Controller with statutory accounts and wider finance responsibilities.
Play a key role in the integration of the new acquisition and bringing accounting activities in-house. Contribute to wider finance transformation, efficiency and continuous improvement projects. Requirements Fully qualified accountant with c.3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally within financial services.
Degree level or equivalent educational qualification. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel capabilities.
Experience with systems such as Workday, Oracle or SAP would be advantageous. Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
