Job DescriptionCath Lab Nurse (Permanent Full-Time) Location: Dublin, Ireland Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package Overview Our client, a leading private hospital in Dublin, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cath Lab Nurse to join their expanding Cardiology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterisation laboratory, delivering exceptional patient care across a broad range of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting consultants and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation and interventional procedures. Prepare patients for procedures and provide ongoing assessment before, during, and after treatment. Assist cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams during diagnostic and interventional procedures Monitor patients' haemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.

Administer medications safely and accurately in line with hospital policies and professional guidelines. Provide patient education and support regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing cardiac care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and continuing professional development activities. Contribute to the effective operation of the Cath Lab service, including emergency and on-call requirements where applicable.

Candidate Requirements Essential Criteria Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Experience working within a Cardiac Cath Lab, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Cardiology Ward, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), or relevant acute care setting. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiovascular conditions and cardiac interventions.

Commitment to delivering patient-centred care. Previous Cath Lab experience in an acute hospital setting. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Postgraduate qualification in Cardiology Nursing, Critical Care, or a related specialty. IV medication and cannulation competencies. Benefits Competitive salary package.
