Job Description
Our client is seeking a Vice President, Facilities Management – K‑12 Schools to provide executive leadership for a nationwide portfolio of education‑sector facilities operations. This role oversees operational performance, safety, workforce planning, client satisfaction, and strategic growth across a distributed, multi‑site environment. The VP leads a team of senior operational leaders, drives segment‑wide initiatives, and ensures consistent delivery of high‑quality facilities services that support long‑term client partnerships and organizational success.
This is a remote role requiring approximately 50% national travel.

Please Note: East Coast to Central time zones is preferred for travel efficiency, and the role requires supporting both operational field environments and executive‑level client interactions
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Drive operational excellence, safety culture, and consistent commercial performance.
- Lead the execution of growth initiatives, service enhancements, and branded programs.
- Translate strategic priorities into measurable operational outcomes across multiple regions.
- Provide executive oversight for Facilities Management operations across a national K‑12 portfolio.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
- Lead and develop a team of senior operational leaders.
- Build high‑performing teams through succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
- Use data‑driven insights to optimize workforce planning, staffing models, and operational efficiency.
Client Relationship Leadership
- Support contract retention, renewals, and long‑term client satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to school‑district clients and senior stakeholders.
- Strengthen client partnerships through proactive communication and value‑driven solutions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate initiatives across Facilities Management, safety, HR, finance, and operational support teams.
- Ensure consistent implementation of standards, processes, and performance expectations across all sites.
- Partner with regional teams and corporate functions to align operational execution with broader business goals.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives that support sustainable growth and long‑term segment success.
- Oversee operational KPIs, financial performance, safety metrics, and service quality.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements, innovation, and efficiency gains.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- Minimum 10 years of management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Proven success leading large, cross‑functional teams in multi‑site or distributed environments.
- Minimum 10 years of related experience in Facilities Management or large‑scale operational leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic execution, talent development, succession planning, and building high‑performing teams.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering value‑driven solutions in complex institutional or service environments.
