Role Description The Delivery Driver role at Southern Staircase is a full-time, on-site position based in Garner, NC. This role is responsible for safely loading, securing, and transporting stair components and related materials to job sites, following scheduled routes and delivery timelines. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting delivery vehicles, completing basic maintenance checks, following safety and traffic regulations, and accurately documenting deliveries and pickups.

The Delivery Driver will interact with customers and site personnel, providing courteous service and ensuring materials are delivered in good condition to the correct locations. The role may also involve assisting with material handling in the warehouse, operating forklifts and other equipment, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with builders, contractors, and internal team members.
• Experience in Training or mentoring peers on safety procedures, equipment use, or delivery processes is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
  ability to meet companydriving and insurance requirements.
• Ability to lift, move, and secure materials safely, and to work in outdoor and construction site environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  familiarity with construction or building materials is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and following company policies and procedures.
