Job Details

• *General Accountant ? Full-Time


• A Toronto-based accounting services firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, tax compliance, payroll processing, and client account support. This is a full-time position located near Sheppard Avenue and Don Mills Road.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting duties accurately and efficiently


• Assist with company incorporation, business registration, and opening government or business accounts


• Record accounting entries and maintain accurate financial records


• Complete regular bank and credit card reconciliations


• Prepare and process payroll and T4 slips


• Prepare and file HST, WSIB, and Employer Health Tax returns


• Prepare financial statements and assist with personal and corporate tax returns


• Work closely with senior staff to support daily accounting operations


• Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members


• Manage multiple files and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy


• Travel to banks and other locations as required for deposits, document delivery, account-related matters, and other business purposes

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)


• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Profile, and Microsoft Office


• Previous experience working in an accounting firm is preferred


• Strong organizational and time-management skills


• Ability to work independently and under pressure


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin


• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and software


• Valid driver?s licence and a reliable personal vehicle

Driving Requirement

The employee will be required to use their own vehicle to travel to banks and other business-related locations during working hours. Applicants must have a valid driver?s licence, valid automobile insurance, and reliable access to their own vehicle.
