The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Field Service Technician to join our growing irrigation services team. Working across a diverse range of agricultural operations, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.

This role is ideal for a mechanically minded technician who enjoys working outdoors, solving technical problems, and building strong relationships with customers. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently and reliably to support agricultural productivity.

  • Install, assemble and commission a range of our irrigation solutions
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on irrigation equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control system issues.
  • Perform servicing on pumps, motors, gearboxes, drive units and related irrigation infrastructure.
  • Install and maintain irrigation control systems, telemetry and automation equipment.
  • Complete site inspections and provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Respond to customer service calls and breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate service records, work orders and inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Assist with project installations and upgrades across a variety of agricultural sites.
  • Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and support regarding irrigation system operation and maintenance.

You

  • Experience in a field service, maintenance or technician role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with agricultural machinery, irrigation equipment, pumping systems or similar infrastructure.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in regional and remote locations as required.
  • Safety-focused and committed to quality workmanship.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Customer-oriented with a professional attitude.
  • Adaptable and willing to work in changing field environments.
